Engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in culturally responsive ways: Building relationships and supporting social and emotional wellbeing

Dianne Perkins, a student placement from the Australian Catholic University, conducted this research project for the Network which aimed to identify and examine culturally appropriate practices that the Network can use to actively engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who identify has having lived experience of mental illness.

What is happening at the Seclusion Review that makes a difference? (2012)

Network member, Bradley Foxlewin, is the author of this consumer led research study on the reduction in seclusion at the Psychiatric Services Unit at the Canberra Hospital.

What the ACT Mental Health Consumer Network does and why?: A big picture explanation for making advances in mental health reform and building an inclusive community (2009).

ANU post-graduate student, Alison Gee, undertook research with Network Members to create this report.
